Программа позволяет создавать и редактировать двухмерные векторные изображения и шаблоны, подобно полноценным CAD-приложениям для ПК.

Файлы, созданные в программе ShortCAD, обычно сохраняются с расширением .ShortCAD, но можно выбрать также формат .dxf для экспорта в другие векторные редакторы.

Дополнительные инструменты позволяют также рисовать фигуры произвольной формы, прямоугольники и фигуры с закругленными углами.

Нарисованные элементы можно изменять, перемещая, масштабируя или вращая их. Можно изменять типы линий, цвет, толщину, стиль текста, работать со слоями, удалять элементы и т.п.

ShortCAD - приложение для создания и редактирования векторной 2D графики.
ShortCAD Lite - позволяет создавать и редактировать 2D-векторные рисунки, чертежи и шаблоны. ShortCAD по своему функционалу напоминает AutoCad и другие подобные программы. Управление функциями программы приспособлено под КПК, что позволяет работать без помощи мышки и клавиатуры. Приложение сохраняет файлы в специальном формате .ShortCAD, но их можно также пересохранить в формате .dxf.
C помощью ShortCAD вы можете начертить: прямую, ломаную линию, текст, круг, дугу, овал, элиптическую дугу, сплошную линию, пунктирную линию, многоугольники, и другие фигуры.
Программа позволяет изменять элементы, передвигая их части, изменяя масштаб, поворачивая их, измения тип линий, их цвет, толщину и так далее.

Теперь можно отражать нарисованные элементы зеркально. Команда зеркального отображения (Mirror) сохраняет исходные изображения и добавляет к рисунку отраженные копии.
При выборе Save Drawing As (Сохранить рисунок как) можно сохранить свое творчество в 256-цветном BMP-файле.
При сохранении BMP можно указать необходимые размеры рисунка.
При вращении нарисованных элементов можно сохранить исходные (повернутые копии будут добавлены к рисунку).

The command Match Properties has been improved. Now, if user selects a text to change it's properties, ShortCAD switches to Enter Text Dialog to give an opportunity of changing the text definitions: contents, text style, height, rotation, width factor and the oblique angle.

The Recent toolbar behavior was optimized. The following commands are not placed in the head of the toolbar, if they are called from inside of an active command (e.g. from the command Drawing Line):

Now ShorCAD consumes the RAM much more efficient and optimal way: many references on a font from different text styles will be served with the same instance of the font loaded into the RAM.

As a result of the mentioned optimization of RAM consumption ShortCAD makes your mobile device capable of loading of very complex and heavy Asian fonts consisting of many thousand of letters and symbols. Use the Asian fonts available below. Even though the fonts take dozens of megabytes, your device can render them since only those glyphs are loaded into the RAM, which are referred from your drawing.


Now it's possible to cancel any changes made in the dialog Manage Layers.

Bug fixed: When user removed a layer, referred by an existing block, the drawing was lost right upon saving the drawing changes (when closing the drawing or performing commands Save and Save Drawing as).

Bug fixed: When inserting a drawing as a block, loaded from a file, those layers were not moved into the target drawing from the block, which were not referred by any drawing element.


The following minor bugs have been fixed:

Selection of black solids was not rendered properly when the drawing background was set to white.

Weight of the drawing elements was rendered on the screen. Now the element weights are rendered only in case of printing from the PC version of ShortCAD.

ShortCAD JavaScript was introduced as the programming language to develop custom commands. Sample scripts, installed with ShortCAD Lite demonstrate how JavaScript could be used to extend ShortCAD with new useful commands:
- Dimensioning,
- HATCHING,
- Object editing.
Polyline drawing object was improved to be completely interoperable with other CAD systems
POLYLINE EDIT command was added to curve/decurve/close/open the existing polylines. The CUBIC and QUADRATIC splines are used to perform the to smooth polylines.
BREAK command was added to break objects between 2 points.
Stopped supporting of the LUA programming language.
